Western Digital S.M.A.R.T Bugs??

What proves that I got ripped off:

1. S.M.A.R.T readings were correct

2. The seller was pretty sketchy and sent it in less than an hour

3. It's a discontinued model from 2012;)

None of that is proof that you got a used drive. If you want proof run recovery software against the drive, if you find data THEN you have proof that it is a used drive.

So I got a "New" WD Green 1TB HDD for very cheap (Also very Quiet :))

But Hard Disk Sentinel claims that it has +1500 Days of power on time, but only 200 power cycles

What Proves the Disk was New:

1. Received in original sealed packaging (No Tape)

2. Has 2 years of fresh confirmed warranty

3. It's very quiet and has no vibrations

4. No signs of previous use or repair on the body

5. Had no signs of wear on the body

6. Sealed Screws

7. No bad sectors

What proves that I got ripped off:

1. S.M.A.R.T readings were correct

2. The seller was pretty sketchy and sent it in less than an hour

3. It's a discontinued model from 2012

Typing this and seeing the evidence, I'm pretty sure that the drive was new but my question is that if anyone has experienced some bugs with WD and the SMART readings prior to this???

Happy to hear your thoughts ;)
