Gaming/editing laptop

Recommended Posts

Hi there folks.

Looking for an "editor by day gamer by night" laptop. Unfortunately it does need to be a laptop as I travel frequently.

Budget is not a problem for now, just looking for recommendations and I can work from there. I've been looking at the Alienware Area 51m because of its upgradability, but was hoping to find some other options.

In terms of work I primarily use Premiere pro for editing, running Google Chrome simultaneously. For gaming I play anything from Rimworld to CSGO, Civilization to Subnautica.

I was thinking something along the lines of a 6 core 8th gen i7 with an RTX card of some description. I'm planning to upgrade the RAM myself so no worries on that point. Ideally wouldn't want something larger than a 17" or smaller than 15".

Thanks for your help guys.

hell, for csgo, subnautica, a 1050 ti will suffice like in a XPS 15, but if you want more POWER without looking like a "gamer" a 1050 ti will also work for civ, not sure for rimworld tho.

the dell G5/G7 models tend to be a more subdued, or if you the budget, get a custom originPC laptop/
