I think you'll  see a nice improvement with a current gen CPU/mobo/RAM while utilizing that 980.

Or you can wait the 25 weeks to afford a 2080 and have it be severely bottlenecked by that i5.

because that would have meant you could slot in some really nice xeon hexa cores... but since you don't have it and those mobo's go for around 100 dollars, I wouldn't go for it

I would personally suggest going with a 8600k/9600k and a 2080, should keep up a little better

Better than the r5 2600 yeah true but they are more expensive like 350 euro and the r5 170euro je week zelluf so for a 350 Ryzen you can get 2700 or maybe x

I mean... it has a solid upgrade path... so if it ever comes that far, you can upgrade it to some really nice stuff...

Just a quick example I grabbed, nothing set in stone.  Probably should have just said Ryzen 5 1600, a good motherboard, and 16GB DDR4 3000 or faster.

Yeah but I don’t wanna spend too much money cuz I’m good for 380€ with r5 2600 good mb 16gb ddr4 3000 and I don’t wanna go to 550€+ so what is a good cpu? Or is an intel one really worth the extra 50% price

not the 50%, just because of the upgrade path amd offers on am4. i would choose a b450 tomahawk, pro carbon, pro4, fatal1ty, of something along those lines. it's enough for most people

it's good enough in balanced games. don't get the 2600x... it's just a chip that can hit at least that frequency. nothing more

i would personally go with the tomahawk for the better vrms, but it's your choise

Definitely.  Luke has great ideas.  I was trying to stay in your income parameters, but it looks like you make a bit more than what you state.  Good stuff :)
