I made a conversion to USD,so yeah.Wages in the US are pretty high compared to some other places.

The cost of living is worse. If min wage was based on the cost of living it would be 23 dollars an hour, and it's 8 dollars here in cali. Think about that.

That website is either a complete joke, or there are too many fools renting apartments/houses in these cities. I can assure you that you don't need to spend over a grand a month just for a single bedroom apartment in Vancouver, nor is a multi-bedroom suite over several grand!
