I've heard good things about the Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580. The Asus ROG Strix should have a really strong cooler as well.

Narrow it down to a few options and look to see if there are any reviews online for those cards, and check to see which card have the best thermals/fans/fan noise/etc.

The Asus Strix is known for being the better of the bunch. Although that'll come with a hefty price tag compared to the others. I've always thought of Gigabyte to be a good middle man between good cooler and good price.

If you want to spend 300$ then sapphire nitro will be the best choice but if you want to save some bucks then Gigabyte Rx580 gaming will be the good choice

One thing people haven't pointed out is RMA and warranty, if that's something you care about. Some cards may have better cooling, some may look better, but there is no warranty service like EVGA. Warranty carries from person to person and they will let you completely disassemble the card without voiding warranty. If they don't have your same card to replace it you get an upgrade. I have zero personal experience with AUSU, so take this with a grain of salt, but I see lots of posts on Reddit about ASUS's RMA process being absolutely terrible.

Sadly, EVGA doesn't make AMD cards. So if you wanted to go EVGA you'd need to spend a little less and get a GTX 1060 6gb but loose a bit of performance and VRAM, or spend a bit more and get a GTX 1070.

If you're set on getting a RX580 just pick your poison and try to get their premium offering. My past two GPUs have been from the MSI Gaming X series; they look nice and stay cool.

Prices seem to be going up again.  The RX 580 were under $250 during Christmas.

If prices are close to $300, the Sapphire Nitro+ RX 590 looks nice.

There's none, you have to look at each generation what the Companies do.

I'm happy with my Power Color Red Devil but that's an RX480, the 580 I don't know if they are good.

People say that MSI is bad, wich makes sense. So I'd avoid them.

Sapphire said that they improved the cooling of their 500 series, so that's one to look at.

Another one to look at is ASROCK.
