silicon lottery?

I'm not sure... but i might hit the lottery here. my micron equipped 1070 ti sc black seems to get up to +650 (4452 mhz) in x1. did i do something that special, or is this average on micron dram?

GDDR5X might be different, but memory overclocks give barely any boost to my 1080s or 1080 Tis. But hey, moar points.

Just as long as its stable. For instance in Games i can run my CPU at 4.6 GHZ @1.32 volts. But i cant even get 3.5 ghz to work for Premiere Rendering @ 1.38V.

 

For GPU overclocking i could game in WOW with my 980ti @+135 Core, 450 Mem, but if i tried anything higher then +70 core and +200 mem on ARK, Fortnite, or any unreal Engine game or Overwatch, it would eventually crash the game.

 

My 1080ti has similar issues with Unreal Engine and some other engines, wheras others i can OC just fine without crashes. 

 

Each program is a bit different ^.^ Folding im not sure of the load since ive never done it.

it actually gave me somewhere between a 50.000-100.000 ppd boost, so I'm not complaining.

I haven't really done any testing more than this. and it crashed at +700. but I only really do this for folding, but if it works in some games too, I wouldn't mind. I'm just not going to test that remotely

true... but just the numbers is a nice thing to see... that's what overclocking is about for me, just seeing what it can do

Ye dood, I was the same. I was very pleased when I noticed both of my GPUs can do exactly 2145 Mhz on the cores. Never had anything above 2100 and this is half way to 2200.

That's actually pretty great, from what I know it depends on how late the production run for your card is. Mine can get up to +550 stable on micron memory, and I think the later the card was made, the better it generally overclocks.
