[POLL] Do you watch LTT's content?

The poll is pretty self-explanatory.

 

I made this poll because their channel has grown a lot in the past few months (currently 8.15M subs), and I'm curious to know if LTT's clickbait titles, misinformation, and/or lack of good content has affected LTT's viewers and core audience.

LTT is just for fun, now, I don't really learn anything useful from his vids, its just unboxings and shilling for custom pc makers.

for actual info, I watch GamersNexus, and AHOC (buildzoid's channel), and read anandtech, and other review sites. 

Bitwit, Pauls Hardware, JayZTwocents etc. is just for entertainment, no offense, but I don't trust their reviews.

 

A follow up to my post:

for example, on the vengeance pc, he didn't mention the temps, at least say i.e 75c gpu on load. etc, or the cpu temps.

Yes, to get informed while being entertained. I just can't bring myself to watch someone who essentially talk in a monotone and goes so in-depth about crap that doesn't matter/I don't care about, that I can't bring myself to listen anymore.

What really bothers me about their videos are the clickbait titles. They're often super vague (e.g. Is Corsair SCREWING their partners?, Apple Killed the Mac Mini, Can I FIX this $10,000 CPU, etc.) and don't give any detail about the product being reviewed (or showcased).

 

I understand that he needs to run his company, which requires money, which requires more viewers (and therefore more clickbait), but more detail can be put into their titles while still gaining a ton of views. Some examples:

- Instead of "Can I FIX this $10,000 CPU", write "Can I FIX the $10,000 Xeon Platinum 8180"

- Instead of "Sorry, Razer... I’m not switching", write "Sorry, Razer... I’m not switching to the 2019 Razer Blade"

 

And his latest video is even more hilarious. The title is "BETTER Phone WiFi in 30 Seconds!", but the video is over 8 minutes long! I understand that he wants to gain views (this video is #14 on trending in Canada btw), but he needs to be more "reasonable" with his titles.

 

Sorry LTT, but I'm not watching your videos until you bring some "good" change to your YT channel.

I'll change the name of the poll from "Do you watch LTT's YouTube videos?" to "Do you watch LTT's videos?". So yes, it does count.

Who changes phones often enough that they need to watch phone case reviews? Phones be expensive as hell. I had to stick with Boost Mobile (ugh) to be able to afford the S8. Straight Talk wanted $80 a month for the same phone.

LTT isn't worth watching anymore. Linus has become a boring host, they don't cover many interesting topics, and they don't do a good job of covering what they do do.

 

The only thing they have going for them, IMO, is production value.

I meant computer cases. Personally I prefered Linus' old computer case unboxings/reviews over Hardware Canucks.

I don't mind the production values, I mind the content. I also don't mind the sets and what not.

 

I just want case reviews to come back lol. That and more crazy water cooling videos.

Yeah but part of the production is having scripts written by many people which takes the Linus out of it. The later one take videos were bad IMO. Also having Luke be the dedicated benchmark guy was a nice little hand off and reassuring segment.
