i need help with computer and monitor

hi.

im new to computers adn stuff like that. im beginning to play alot of fortnite, and now i wanna play on pc, but i dont have the money to buy a very expensive one.

my budget for a pc and monitor is 1000$  in total. anyone who has a idea of to differend products, that can be for around 1000$ ?

here is a solid build in that price range, easily upgradable down the road.

(If you want to get closer to the $1000 mark, spend that money on a better PSU. That one is fine, but the weak link in the build.)

Me, @Brooksie359, and Th3R3AP3R are all recommending very similar builds... If you want to swap the GPU, swap it for a GTX 1060.

(It wouldnt let me @ R3AP3R for some reason.)

Currently running with a MacBook Pro 14 2021, may build or pick up a gaming laptop again in the future.

a bit more frames for 1060 but 580 is better value

if you really want that 144 hz refresh monitor then a 1060 is better

Make sure you quote or @ people, or they won't know who you're asking

 

You can have a higher fps, and the main benefit to that is lower input lag, but on a 60Hz monitor you'll only see 60 fps.

yes but their will be no benefit, the game will either tear (unless you have free sync of gsync) 

or it will just mean that performance of your graphics card wouldnt be allowed to shine as much as it can really

Seems like a cheap prebuilt brand. The system on their site still has a floppy drive bay in the case...
