YouTube issue on Safari.

I'm having a weird issue with full screening video's on Safari.

 

I'm running Mojave 10.14.3 and Safari 12.0.3.

here is a video of the issue with a random youtube video as an example:

What you went to Safari  We don't support MACs on this site LOL jk jk jk jk jk lol...… Dude whats the problem I watched the video 4 times in a row.  What are you trying to show  ?  I have no clue what your problem is.

I've been using it for a while, just not as my main browser. I've decided to move to it as my main browser mostly because of all the cool little features it has. like integration with my iPhone etc.

Man you don't know what uncle billy is capable of.  He will send you to hell commiting uncle billy's sin and using a MAC. lol jk 

 

If one browser works well like chrome or fox,, then its a safari issue man you must part ways.  I still don't see what your trying to show, but that is my advice.. Just dump the browser ya know.  No need to lose hair over this.

when I fullscreen it the video won't cover the screen. it will be in a box at the top left of the screen.

Ok I understand now.  Get a MAC guru here cuz Im not one...Don't you think its software related.  Your other browsers work fine tho right ?

yes. as far as I know it's an issue with Safari. that's why I posted it here.

Well the thing is MAC is popular because you don't see the engine that drives the OS.  You just plug and everything works and its simple.  In that complicated OS your getting a complicated Safari problem, which I don't think will get fixed unless you get a future update or uninstall it completely then install it again.  good luck

I assume you've tried restarting the machine? Did you dump your Caches?

no but this has been an issue for a while. I have also figured out that it goes away if I fullscreen the window first, and the video after that.
