Passive cooler on Celeron G1620?

Bluethulhu

I have a G1620 in a second system of mine (usually on all day), and I'm curious as to if I can put a passive cooler on it. It just idles most of the time, there is never really any stress put on it.

Spoiler

With decent air flow, an underclock+UV, or a decent enough heat sink, yea.

as long as you're not putting it under full load for more than a few minutes there shouldn't be a problem.

Error: 410

Hyper 212 EVO with fans around the case could do it.

You can probably cool the cpu with a fanless 212+ or 212 Evo if your case has decent ventilation or cooling.

I put a G530 in my dads system and at full load it only hits 40c with a small aftermarket cooler (hyper 101) so passive should be fine.
