Samsung C24FG73 and G-sync

I bought myself a Samsung C24FG73 since Freesync currently works on Nvidia GPUs too. However G-Sync works only sometimes. Monitor might look very blurry and flickers until I go to monitor settings and reset Freesync and then it's butter smooth again without any tearing. This happens every time I restart my PC and sometimes even when changing the game. Has anyone experienced similar issues? I have 30 days left to return this monitor if I can't get G-Sync to work.
