Going to do a reseat what thermal paste should I use ?

I have always used ASS ,, 5 … I want to know what is the best thermal paste period for hardcore OCing.  I don't care what the price is and would need a small amount just for this reseat.  Thank you

Pretty much everything in the top 50 performers will perform within a degree or two of each other.

 

On a desktop processor above the IHS just pick the one you are most comfortable with.

AS5 is a little outdated and very slightly capacitive. Generally speaking, anything that doesn't come in a jar from China is probably within 1-3C of every other thermal paste on the market. I have a bunch of pastes lying around, but I usually go with Arctic MX-4 because it's not capacitive, it spreads evenly, it works as well as anything else out there, it's reasonably priced and it's available everywhere.

Arctic, IC diamond, and noctua all have great stuff. I don't remember specific names but they're all reputable for thermal paste.

Thanks for the response I guess I will stick with ASS 5.  I have no problems with it in the past.

I would check some reviews out. I typically see Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut as the top performer for thermal paste. The difference can be very minimal, but as far as "best" is concerned, it seems to be very well regarded.

I used MX-2 and MX-4 for years, but last year I got the Cooler Master Master Gel Maker Nano, only a tiny bit pricier but seems to offer better thermal performance.
