I would recommend  upgrading your GPU.

P.S. your components are no where near as dated as mine.

Vega 56 while its on sale, a good monitor, good input devices, large SSD, pair of 4tb drives, and external cases for your old drives to use them for backup.

No major performance difference.  Better to wait for the 3000 series.

Was referring to the price difference, not the performance. If it wasn't much more expensive may as well and get the 2000 series.

OP has a 1600 already, the list is what they have currently.

I don't understand why everyone is pushing for an upgrade. You have a 1600 which is like, 10% worse maybe than a 2600, and you seem happy with your performance still.

I would hold on to that cash, and upgrade later.

Your PC is great as it is. If you want to play higher resolutions than 1080p maybe a better graphics card upgrade could be justified but you really don't need anything at the moment. Save the money for when you actually need it

6 years is fine (mine is 8 years old) it's when it starts to get older than 10 that you should start considering replacing it.

That depends are we talking the ARM946E-S in your DS Lite or some other CPU? Because if we are talking the processor in your DS my CPU is several orders of magnitude faster.

The fact that you knew the ARM CPU of my DS lite is amazing. I was talking about my A8-6600k.

Lol, I just Googled it! (I wish I knew that stuff of the top of my head) Also apparently the DS Lite apparently has 2 processors (a second ARM V7 chip)

Wow, you may want to upgrade that in the near future.

check my signature, it's my current plans and i'm real close

also my shitty cpu does great in csgo at 1024x768. My 1070Ti upgrade from a 960 let me turn up the textures, so now I can actually look at my pixelated trash with FXAA.

Well I hope you can get it soon. (And I thought that my plan to pair a 1070 ti with an ageing fx6300 was a crazy idea...) P.S. the 1070 ti would only really be used for Blender.

I remember princess cadence telling me "that bottleneck is huge" and I was kinda like "no shit". I knew what I was doing, and honestly, it's actually benefited me. I wouldn't of been able to use freesync on my monitor, and I can play csgo at 1920x1080 above 60 fps easily.
