China launches an app that tells you if you are within 500 yards of someone in debt - and encourages you to report them if they seem capable of paying

Yea except that the chinese government is the chinese government. Just because a locality was the one to make it doesnt mean it wont see widespread use with the federal social credit system. Make no mistake that anti-china rhetoric is more or less anti-chinese  "communist" government. You know the one with a single party and where people take family members away in the night for social media posts.

Huzzah communism with a capitalist economy!

As little fucking sense as that concept is.

Computer's don't make errors. What they do, they do on purpose. By now your name and particulars have been fed into every laptop, desktop, mainframe and supermarket scanner that collectively make up the global information conspiracy, otherwise known as The Beast.

You just be careful. Computers have already beaten the Communists at chess. Next thing you know, they'll be beating humans.

Kinda difficult to be sentimental towards a country who has a completely different ideology than the West.

Not to mention a human rights record that would make Stalin and Hitler vomit.

Nothing against the Chinese people, but their government should receive absolutely no respect. From anyone. Anywhere. Ever.

China implementing that socialism totalitarianism in full force, china is going to become a really bad dystopia, it already is one and getting worse very fast, im worried other countries might follow, because they are dumb enough to do so.

Forgive me if I’ve misinterpreted what you’ve written; this is only if you meant the anti-Chinese sentiment as a whole, buthow does this alone justify anti-Chinese sentiment? Sure, it’s different but if we were to attack things only because their different I doubt humans would get very far.

How about pay your debt back and not spend more than you can.  It’s if you have credit card debt but buying iPhones etc what r u doing. It’s a pretty common ideology, most banks worldwide recommend it.

Well, despite being kinda wtf, im I kinda like the Chinese system, without it the country would still be a clusterfuck. The only real question regarding China is whats gonna happen when Winnie dies/decides that he is tired. USSR showed that the ingrates in power will literally sell off every scrap of their future in order to solidify their current grasp on the power and discredit their predescesors. I hope 4k years of culture will save China from this shit, but i highly doubt that

The current regime wants that culture erased, and they've made some progress towards that goal.

Please be aware that there may be visual artifacts left behind by the beta testing phase of development. If you see any such artifacts, we recommend that you do not interact with them; we'll weed them out eventually. There's no guarantee that we'll weed them out eventually.

It's more "anti Chinese government" than anti Chinese. Don't conflate the two.

I've nothing against the Chinese people, I just wish they would wake up and tear down that ridiculous excuse for a government they've got.
