How can I turn my ram onto quad channel?

Buy four memory sticks that are the same capacity and a processor and motherboard that support quad channel memory (Intel HEDT (X99/X299)/Xeon E5/E7 and AMD Threadripper/Epyc).

A good first step would be buying a platform that actually supports it.

Laptop: Latitude E4310 w/ i5 580M, 8GB RAM, 120GB 840 EVO, Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 wireless card, Windows 10 Pro x64

Main PC: sleeper Dell on profile boi

Then what makes you think you're not already running in quad channel?

(You also have to make sure to use the correct ram slots -- generally you want to use every alternating slot assuming you have only four sticks and eight slots, if you have the same number of sticks as slots then it doesn't matter)

You need a CPU and MBD that supports Quad.

4 sticks is not quad.  8 sticks is quad.

4 Channel Memory is in pairs - 4x2 = 8

CPU i7 4960x Ivy Bridge Extreme | 64GB Quad DDR-3 RAM | MBD Asus x79-Deluxe | RTX 2080 ti FE 11GB |
Thermaltake 850w PWS | ASUS ROG 27" IPS 1440p | | Win 7 pro x64 |

Four sticks is quad channel. Just like two sticks is dual channel.

Eight sticks is quad channel with two sticks per channel.
