What type of fans should I use for watercooling?

I was wondering what fans I should use for watercooling

I know EK makes fans but I have also seen noctua fans or corsair ML fans? 

so which should I choose for maximum performance

It depends on what you are looking to achieve, for relatively good performance to low noise the EK fans are not too bad, the Noctua's and Be quiet fans would be ones I recommend if you are looking at silence.

I recommend Noctua they are quiet while having good performance.

Normally have all noctua in my rigs. 

Perform great and look even better. 

Have one that’s using phantecs right now. Very silent. Performance is ok to but the high fpi on the rad and circle frame on the fan are working against me.

Have 1 3k 140, 2 2k 140’s 3 2k 120’s and 3 of the af140’s on the rads in back. 

 

The 3k isn’t on so the system can be positive. The rest are all on a hub so I can run them lower. 

 

Its nice how they offer the nf’s in black now. 

Dont mind the crappy window.

Honestly Noctua fans are for those who like to brag about their builds and say "look, I've got the most expensive fans and y'all poor, begone" they're not even that good for what they cost (almost $30 each) but whatever float their boat I guess.

 

anyway, 

Performance = Delta, HP server grade, 24/48V industrials, etc

Silence = Corsair AF, Riing, BeQuiet silent wings

Mix = Fractal Design, Corsair SP/LL, Arctic

Best 120mm fan: Noctua NF-A12x25

Really good 140mm fan: Arctic P14 PWM PST

The Corsair ML or EK fans would probably be a good option if you don’t mind a bit of noise or want lighting. As suggested the Noctua’s would be some of the best for silence. Would recommend the regular Noctua’s or chroma version for silence.

Corsair ML or Vardar are good, but not quiet!

Noctua Chromax is for the looks and for silence... non Chromax NF-A12x25 is better than any chromax.

I don't want to use Delta fans as I've heard of them frying motherboard fan headers not sure about the others as I've never heard of them but I'll look into them thank you

Corsair ML fans are a great balance of performance and noise production.  You can typically run them at lower RPM's to get solid performance out of them compared to a number of other fans.  And the Magnetic Levitation design allows for lower friction and reduced noise across the entire RPM band of the fan.
