I need the best prebuilt system for under $50!

Why not GPU encode using OBS? Just use the ASIC in the 1060 to do the job. I mean qualitywise its not as good as CPU encoding, but its oerfectly fine for someone getting into streaming.

How do you do that?

OBS has a setting which isnt x264. Believe its OpenGL or Cuda iirc.

It will trade a little performance for the GPU to do the encoding without needing extras. Id try that before anything else. Or you can do some lower rez CPU encoding.

Yes, Nvenc.

Did you try tweaking some settings?

You can also try some 480p CPU encoding.

It should hit the CPU quite lightly. Your system isnt very optimized for streaming. Ryzen would have been a much better and cheaper choice

I know its going to sound dumb to say but I refuse to try ryzen since I just dont like it. I had a FX pc a long time ago and it was terrible. I believe I had to replace the CPU twice. That ruined me forever from AMD. When FX just came out it was (the best thing ever). Ryzen is new so I dont want something happening which is unknown to ryzen yet. To sum up I dont fully trust AMD

You can also pick up a second GPU like the R7 260 and let that do the GPU encoding. It wont be using Nvenc but whatever the other one is called.

I have a Ryzen 2700x system with SLI 2080s! No problems so far! Stable oc on CPU at 4Ghz! By far the best band for buck platform out there. period!

Ryzen is 2 years old at this point. The only bad thing that has been about it was bad memmory support in the beginning. Other than that it has been praised for its various achievements and streaming performance.

by that point ryzen 3 or 4 will be out so you could get a 2nd or 3rd gen. 8 core 16 thread cause of workstation and encoding stuff!

It would be at least halfway decent for single threaded stuff, but for anything other the web browsing and other light tasks you would see big performance drops. Plus lots of noise bc i5 750 was known for thermal issues chip. HP cooling has never been very good, always minimum amount possible.

but i still don’t see why your system can’t run gta 5 streaming, especially with a capture card

why not just use the card on your main rig?

but I’d say you should keep an eye out for bids on eBay or go through Letgo or something similar

If I used the capture card to stream and play on the same pc its like using OBS on it. The point of the capture card is stream from another PC so nothing is effected from the main PC

The bad GPU its going to have. I think it would be fine since I was streaming on my laptop which has an i3-7100u. 2 cores 2 threads. That was awful. It did 1080p 60fps tho very fine. That had an HD 620 GPU so the cpu would be almost double as good but the GPU would be wayyyy worse,
