The Flashiest Phone I’ve EVER seen - Honor View20 Showcase

James

The View 20 is Honor’s new flagship smart phone for 2019. It's got one of those hole-punch style notches on the front, and some fancy optical nano-lithography on the back (it's shiny).

I don't ever watch these showcases because they are really just fancy ad's. I understand they pay the bills but they are truly terrible. What I really don't like is not knowing that it is an ad before clicking on it. I thought it would be a review but the title was JUST long enough that it cuts off the word showcase and makes it look like a review when in my sub box.

I really REALLY don't like this. It feels deceptive.

This phone looks damn good. I love the screen with the hole where it is, its basically just taking up the space of a single notification, rather than up to half the damn bar. Im hoping this comes in as basically an S10 for half the price.

I don't know much about the brand but I will be looking at a new android phone soon. The flashiness I love, the specs seem great on paper. I wonder how big a concern the china spying thing is. For instance I wouldn't feel comfortable signing into my bank or something. But then again are there any known safe phones?

Honor does sound a lot better than Huawei tbh, but it's probbly much of the same. But hey, they did get people to talk about it before the release.. that counts, right?

When will this phone be available in the U.S.?

I read it will be for sale at € 549,- on 29 januari in The Netherlands. I'm guessing this goes for most of Europe. Idk about america, but I hope this gives somewhat of an indication
