Motherboard booting without cpu

Is it possible to boot my motherboard which is b450 tomahawk without the CPU? Newegg send me the wrong cpu which is the amd fx 6350 so I'd to wait another two weeks.

Nope not possible.

RAM = 2x 32gb DDR4 3200MHZ Corsair Vengeance LPX
Motherboard = MSI Z690-A-PRO Wifi DDR4
GPU= RTX 3050
SSD = Samsung 980 Pro 1TB
PSU= Corsair RM750

Laptop:
CPU= AMD Ryzen 5 5500u
RAM= 1X 4gb (soldered 3200mhz), 1x 16gb ddr4 3200mhz (so-dimm)
SSD= Samsung 970 Evo 1TB

It wouldn't post. It'd turn on but it'd just show an error message that'd say something like "CPU not installed".

A motherboard needs a CPU to run UEFI, because UEFI was built for the CPU it was designed to run. And it can't boot without running UEFI.

 

I know there are some motherboards that allow you to flash UEFI without a compatible CPU, but those use another CPU (likely an ARM chip) to do the job and that's the only job of that CPU.

just curious as to why you would want to get into the bios with no CPU ??

I stated that newegg sent me the wrong CPU they sent FX instead of r5 2600 which I've ordered.
