Ryzen 3 2200G with Triple Monitor Support questions

NeroSS

The company I work for is looking to upgrade from AMD A-8 or A-10 setups to Ryzen 3 rigs and we have a few questions.

To save money, we are looking at running the new-ish Ryzen 3 2200G but need to know if multi-monitor support is available through just the motherboard.

Since most of our triple monitors use DVI-D dual link and VGA, the motherboard chosen is here: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813145082&ignorebbr=1

The plan is to use the hdmi port and convert that output to either DVI or VGA. Then use the DVI output as another display output.

The main question we have is, will this motherboard and cpu support using the USB 3.1 Type C port as a 3rd output?

If there is a better way to achieve triple monitor support using the Ryzen 3 2200G series as well as DVI/VGA outputs, we are definitely open for suggestions.

Please advise and thank you

The USB C port has to support a display port signal, usually only found on thunderbolt and not USB 3.1.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I think that that usb 3 type c port will not support video, as it doesnt have thunderpolt.

Why not just get a motherboard with 3 video outs?

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-A-PRO (HDMI, VGA, DVI-D)

https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450 Pro4/index.asp (- Three graphics output options: D-Sub, HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2
- Supports Triple Monitor)

So it seems that the msi B450 A-pro would be the best for you.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

I think that one of our guys found a bundle and it included that motherboard so they started searching off of that.

This B450 A-Pro looks like what we need
