Turning off animated avatars?

Hello,

 

I'd like to ask if there is any way I could turn off animated avatars on this/all forums? Personally I find them distracting (some not so much, some extremely so) and if there is a way to turn them either off completely or better yet have them "stuck" on the first frame so that I'd still be able to easily tell users apart just by looking at their avatar it would be lovely. So is there such an option on the forums settings (that I may have missed) or at least some chrome plugin/third party app?

I think it's built into the site.

 

EDIT: I don't think theres features on the site, but use the extension the person below provided.

It's not possible, sorry. You would need to use a browser extension to do that.
