Hey people :)

i'm doing a presentation on the topic hard drives (ssd's as well) and we couldn't ind concrete evidence saying that there was a maximum storage capacity depending on the BIOS or operative system that you'd be using.

BIOS isnt stored on the hard drive, thats stored on a physical chip on the motherboard. As for OS, that varies as every OS is different in size. In general for windows its recommended at least 50 gigs for install. In general a 64 gig drive would be the ideal size for an OS install.

it's not for installing. but how many terabyte can i put on my pc before my BIOS/Filesystem/operating system wouldn't allow any more

All depends on the OS. BIOS won't have a limitation as it doesn't access the drive, it merely initializes it. As for the OS, others have linked information regarding Windows.

it says that it only applies to windows 2008 server standard as the newest. so i don't know if anything new has happened
