Seeing your switch triggers me because I kinda wish I had a second one for my laptop and desktop (already have one hooked to my router which is ALSO acting as a switch, so I have a total of 6 10/100 ports for my room, and if none of my friends are here then only one or two are free lmao).

well, you could always go for a decomissioned server-grade one? 26 ports for the price of a cup of coffee sometimes :P (if you drink at starbucks, that is. overpriced af)

Really if I had room and money wherever I end up moving, I would totally get a 10U or so rack and throw shit in it like a switch, NAS, and so on.

But that money thing always ends up biting me in the ass. :P

KBDfans Dolch clone, very thicc PBT. The funny thing is that the keycaps were nearly three times more expensive than the keyboard itself. :D

yeah sadly quality comes with a pricetag for caps. the ones i'm using where pretty damn cheap, but you can still see the break-off points from moulding, and the lettering is pretty easy to wear off (luckily it's sideprint!)

Latest update, found a bargain ROG Strix X99, so a motherboard replacement was in order. Out with the X99A-II and in with the ROG Strix X99 Gaming.

There's just something about time lapsing motherboard installations, I seem to get one every so often and was in a position to do so today (excuse the potato quality)

Hi all, I’ve been watching LTT for a while now and was inspired to build my first PC! Just wondering what people think? Wondering if anyone would have done anything differently? I use it for gaming (PUBG, GTA5 and Just Cause 3) and media consumption. I want to build another for my son so feedback would be appreciated before I start to source parts.

i5 7500

evga 1050 ti

16GB Corsair Vengence

2 x 240 San disk SSD plus (os & applications)

2 x 2TB seagate barracuda HDD (raid 1 for family photo vault etc)

corsair 500w power supply

gigabyte h270n motherboard

coolermaster heatsink

Thermaltake core v1 case

Only bit I struggled with was cable management working in such a small case. If I did it again I would have gone larger I think! ?

Wow, very white.  No Doritos for you I guess :P   Also I think this would be better in another section so I'm gonna have a look around for that and get back to this... Yeah I think this is probably best spot :)

Thanks Ryan. Yeah I started down the white path and couldn’t stop which is why I threw in some RGB to give it some mood lighting ?. Might go darker next time.

I'm weirdly more proud of the cable management job I'm doing in this crappy corsair 200r with really crappy cables than I am of my perfect looking, high end, tempered glass system :P

I know, I shouldn't have the GPU cables zip tied to the 24 pin while I'm training the cables.

Big old meh to that.

This is a picture of it unfinished too.

The CPU for it is coming tonight, I'm going to clean up that USB cable coming from the wifi adapter quite a bit. Just waiting for an extension for it.

I already pulled all of the white zip ties off of the GPU cables and I've got them trained perfectly. There's enough room to add a fan to the bottom of the case which I'm going to do with a filter and grill of course. I was going to put a corsair h60 in here, but I decided on an evo 212 instead since this is for my Dad and he wants something low maintenance. It's also a better cooler than the h60 anyways.

I should have taken a picture of the back too or with the back side panel off.

I actually managed to get it so you can't see the cables behind the holes even though it doesn't have grommets and the case has a ridiculously small amount of room between the motherboard try and side panel. It's really not an easy case to work with.

It's almost more satisfying to do a good job with low end stuff, because it takes more effort to get right.

I once heard you should never use a glass table if you want a clean pc build setup. Well it is all I had, so I have included some photos of the cable management

of my table set up. I also mounted a headset pass thru on the back of my keyboard to help keep it all clean. Image of inside the case was before I finished off with all the

Thermaltake RGB 120mm fans.

White done right.

Looks like a Corsair Void? Is that the new Pro, or previous Gen? And that looks like a USB powered Headset holder?

Is that RGB controller for desklights? PC?

Don't think I have posted my set up yet.

It is nothing much to look at, I use it for work. email, photography etc. and it does what I need it to do so I am happy. :)
