Very cool. That's basically the steps I took to mod one of my other build projects, only that was for a handle, not a window. ;) Do you have more pics of the modded side panel?

To be honest, there's something about builds like this I've always found interesting. They're simple and functional, nothing more or less than they need to be. There's a sense of purity about them, if that makes any sense, lol. It's partly what inspired me to do this build: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/365996-build-log-project-stalker-custom-sleeper-pc-update-with-overclocking-result  :)

Also, great job with the cable management! :D

Thanks! I will post some pictures of the side panel later today. Your build is very nice as well!

You and your cable management :P

Hey man, a little cable management goes a long way. ;)

new case.....with new watercooling......best one I could find that would fit, even thought this baby should be put out on display....I hate desk clutter.

For a moment I thought your case was defying gravity... :P

Personally I'd just leave the GPU by itself without the lettering.  But if you like the lettering then keep it.

What are your settings? I couldn't get it to boot into Windows at 4.2GHz, not even 4.0GHz. Multiplier, bus speed, and voltage? Also, I think I have replied on your review before!

Here ya go!

attachicon.gif4.2settings.PNG

Is it stable? Also:

-What are the temps and what cooler are you using?

-How come you increased the bus speed by 10MHz? I did this and it messed up my RAM speeds.

-Were you able to go any lower on the voltage without system instablity?

I will definitely give it a go when I get home. I wasn't successful the first time around, but we'll see now that I have something to go off of.

Yup, she's stable! (as far as I know)

1.) 36c Idle on a Hyper 212 Evo, I'm not sure about my max temps

2.) I dunno, it just worked. my RAM seems fine

3.) Any lower and cores 5 and 6 fail in prime95. I've actually been able to get all the way up to 4.4GHZ, but cores 5 and 6 fail immediately

Fair warning but I wouldn't push this board's power delivery system too hard without cooling. I just received a 40mm fan in the mail today that I will be using to cool the VRM's so I can keep them happy and healthy.

I am very interested to see the max temps when I give it a try. I aim to not go over 65C, but right now I haven't hit over 52C while under max load. What are your RAM speeds? I would like to keep mine at 1600MHz like it's supposed to be so I will play with the multiplier for RAM as well, since I will probably increase the bus speed like you. I know the VRM thing is an issue, but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks! :D

Hey! Back with an update. I overclocked using the same settings, working fine. I am currently stress testing in Prime95 , going for about 4 hours, right now I'm at about 2.5 hours in, and no errors. The Seidon 120V keeps this beast frosty, it hasn't even touched 60C twice, and it's still inaudible. The VRMs are HOT though. Like painful to touch hot. Luckily they can take a lot more heat than a CPU can. I ordered some VRM heatsinks on Amazon, so that should help. But a BIG thanks for the overclocking numbers. It helped me out a TON! It's a little too dark to take a picture of my side panel window mod, but I promise I will get you a couple.
