Pictures don't completely do it justice, but potato.

EDIT; currently trying to get MSI to update their BIOS fanprofiles. Min PWM duty cycle on the system fans is 50% -_-'

The noctua's can run 12% or something (250rpm). Right now I'm running a modified profile under command centre.

New case, new CPU cooler, new cable extensions:

Case: Went from a NZXT S340 to the Fractal Design Define R5. I loved the S340, but its hard drive mounting system was lack luster, and led to a lot of vibrational noise in the case. I also wanted expansion in the room in the future. This wasn't a big loss since the case was only about $70 and lasted me about 8 months.

I love the the silence optimized features of the Define R5, and even having drive caddies greatly reduced the noise from my S340.

CPU Cooler: I had the Phanteks PH-TC12DX originally, which was great, except that I wasn't able to maintain my 4.5 Ghz overclock at temps I was comfortable with back when my H100i was working. My mobo temps were also much higher. Furthermore, the S340 didn't support this cooler and I've fallen in love with tower coolers since going with the TC12DX. The mounting system was relatively simple and was the same as its bigger brother, the PH-TC14PE. I also love the black and white color scheme with the Define R5. Looks sexy :P

Extension Sleeves: These are the silverstone sleeved extensions. Originally had black ones, and this also matched the Define R5 much better.

Overall, happy with the upgrades. Computer is MUCH quieter than before and easier on the eyes due to the sleek looks of the R5.

Ill show more of my setup off if I get unlazy and take more pictures :P

Great looking setup!  I would remove the HDD cages though that aren't being used for better airflow.

Indeed it is, well a combination of a few different themes.  Here's a full desktop screen

attachicon.gifClipboard03.jpg

Don't remember the exact names, but the volume bar on the right is from the Avengers Shield Helicarrier theme; the clocks, system information, calendar, weather and transparent black background bar thing are from an older version of Basic Skins Suite (don't think the specific version is available anymore); the live currency converter, world time, media display and CPU/RAM usage I think are from an older version of Omnimo.

Still haven't decided on my desktop wallpaper though... Ideally I'd like to find something that spans multiple at 1200p or greater...

i really like it. Im still figuring out how to find themes. I usually go to deviant art but some of them are buggy. Did you custom make yours? would you mind sharing it? :)

Does rainmeter slow you down at all? boot/launchtimes, I mean.

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

I haven't noticed a difference on this PC.  I'm running a 4690K @ 4.6Ghz and my boot programs on my SSD, so I haven't noticed anything.  On my old crappy HP Intel Centrino dual core laptop it makes about 20 seconds difference having it off.  I doubt you'll have issues on your system (the one linked in your signature), although my skin is fairly minimal, if you were to pick one of the more complex animated skins there might be a more noticeable difference.

Have one as well. It's a really nice keyboard. Love the brushed aluminum construction. Just installed o-rings from massdrop (the MX reds bottom out easy and were quite noisy ;) ). Only thing I don't like is about 1/3rd of the LEDs have stopped working randomly. Doesn't bother me too much though as you can't really tell unless you look closer.

Pulling all the keys off was the perfect opportunity to clean it all up. :)

34" - the 2560x1080 is a waste of time, I don't see why anyone would opt for one over a regular 1440p with the same resolution width
