Here's my rig. I only have a couple of changes left to do to it.

(a) I'm replacing the front case fans with two Cooler Master MF200R ARGB fans.

(b) I'm replacing the CLC with a Corsair H150i Platinum.

Here is my present build.

Ryzen 9 3900X

32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo 16-16-16-36

Gigabyte Aorus PCIe 4.0 2TB

Inland Premium PCIe 3.0 2TB

Crucial MX500 SATA 2TB

Toshiba X300 4TB

MSI Aero GTX-1080Ti

Corsair RM850x PSU

(3) Corsair LL140 fans

Cooler Master H500P Mesh

Dell S2417DG 1440p monitor

Corsair K70 Lux RGB

Corsair M65 Pro

CyberPower CF1500PFCLCD UPS

Logitech G35 headset

I could upgrade the video card, but the 1080Ti still plays all my games quite well. :)

Oh, and I have a ClutchChairz PewDiePie edition chair. Because it can do thiiiiiiiiiiiiis...

This is my first post, hello everyone. I've been a Mac guy and just got this setup after christmas and been loving it so much.

Able to upgrade and change stuff, when is the best time to buy new PC stuff? I know my motherboard needs updating but wasnt sure if i should get the Gigabyte z390 ultra or wait?? thanks!

3rd monitor just got here today haven't crammed it on the desk yet! I do like the lights on the Tower but wondered about it on the carpet?

Nice setup! About the carpet, the intake fans on the bottom and potentialy the power supply as well can intake dust from the carpet, which can impact thermals over time. I'd recommend putting it on the desk ( although that could be hard with another monitor) or getting a simple PC cart or stand to raise it off the ground. Unless you plan on using a 9th gen CPU or overclocking, you won't need to upgrade the motherboard. Even with overclocking you should be fine.

I like the clean look! And I low key wish I had a 1080 ti lol

I don't have any more VESA mountable IPS displays. I have an older TN but that's got horrible viewing angles, making it meh at best for a second monitor, and the colors aren't good enough for me to use it as my main.

Replaces the old BENQ with a shiny new Alienware panel. @KONA decides to prop the old panel on its side against the wall with the stand hanging off the side. I'm not mad but a desk mounted stand could get you sorted out 🤪

Zando, you can always pop off your second VESA arm until you get a panel sorted out. I'm assuming it would be a smaller panel mounted horizontally? That's what I did with my old 22 inch. It's a TN but I have it at enough of an angle that it looks just fine.

I finished the CLC and front case fan swap. It only took ten days for the new ARGB MF200Rs to arrive from Hong Kong. Temps immediately went down by 20C. I guess the higher-speed 140mm fans do matter. Here are two pictures that aren't complete rubbish. 😁👍

YAUA (Yet Another Update Again).  I re-did the arrangement with sharing my desk with my mother so I can get my video editing done since we both have dual monitors.  So I put my desk back into a corner desk and instead extended it on the left with another full desk for her to have her own area, like a kind of cubicle arrangement.  This is now my space.  Both monitors are calibrated, but the monitor on the right, the Dell E228WFP will be replaced with another Acer B6 series like on the left, it's CCFL backlight is very tired and the colors aren't a 100% match.

I had to look at the picture three times before I realized those JBLs were on a highly reflective surface and not on weird looking stands that looked a lot like inverted JBLs. This old age business is for the birds.  🥴
