Upgraded ryzen 5 2400g to 12 nm ryzen 5 1600 AF overclocked to 4.0 ghz

Added an amd wraith prism cooler - temps never go over 60C during gaming.

Replaced rx 570 gpu with a xfx rx 5700 for a smoother VR experience.

Hung an old ipad air, mainly use it for weather, sports scores and discord info.

Added logitech z313 speakers and subwoofer - they are just okay, but work fine for my tiny office.

Just arrived at my doorstep today.  HP z800 workstation, Dual x5675's, 24gb ram. I put in a NVME, got it to boot into Windows, and got a cheap GT730 video card installed. I picked up a Sapphire R9 fury for $70, that's going in later this week. I bought a similar rig for my buddy- a Z600 with dual x5670's and put in a gtx 1070. I was so impressed with it I got one for myself to tinker with.

My rig: i7 9700k with a RTX2070 Super and 32GB RAM.

I'd RGB'ed and synced just about every component of the PC from the AIO, to the RAM, to the fans, to the GPU, to the Keyboard, to the headphone stand, to the speakers, to the headphones, to the ATX power cables, to the mousemat(s)...

But it wasn't enough.

I have a sickness. A hole inside me that can only be filled with lumens and unicorn vomit. I had run out of things to RGB... I mean sure I could go out and buy some el-cheapo remote-controlled LED strips for behind the desk, but I wasn't going to lower myself to any of that ghetto peasant-level RGB shit.

Then I discovered Philips Hue.

Of course I still feel empty inside, but at least my walls are purple. I can also bring the whole room to life and fire up the PC with Wake-On-LAN via a single Siri command, so I guess I'm the lord of my own little fiefdom. Also, purple.

I have almost finished my upgrade from (Blue) Beast to (Black) Beauty. It's been five years since I built the original Blue Beast, and since then I've gone through soooooooo many different iterations of it, to eventually replacing every part save for a few (like my card reader, BD/DVD drive, some fans and an external drive bay thing). I started out with:

Rosewill Blackhawk Blue edition ATX mid tower case

AMD A8 7600 APU

ASRock FM2A88X+ BTC

G.Skill Ares 8GB (2x4) DDR3-2400

WD Black2 1TB HDD 120GB SSD Hybrid drive

Corsair GS600 80+ Bronze 600W PSU

FB_IMG_14236216228241454.thumb.jpg.d8f921cea1547f7d6c2beecac0322219.jpg20160311_150555.thumb.jpg.eac8756845e9caca1655398054aae110.jpg

Over the course of the last 5 years since I built it, I've added and replaced so many things...to eventually end up with this:

Phanteks Enthoo Pro tempered glass ATX full tower case

AMD Ryzen 5 3600

Corsair H60 CPU cooler

ASRock X570 Steel Legend wifi ax

Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB (4x8) DDR4-3000

Samsung 970 Evo 500GB m.2 NVMe SSD

Seagate Barracuda 3TB HDD

ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT

Corsair RMx 850 W 80+ Gold PSU

and an arseload of RGB things. I love it, I've spent way too much money on this system, and I'm probably not done with it yet. I still have to try my hand at custom water cooling....
