Currently dismantled for diagnosing. Note to anyone who decides to get a Threadripper. don't bother. Great pricing-to-performance ratio. Terrible support on motherboards. the X399 platform alone is garbage compared to X299 from Intel.

I think Threadripper is superior to anything Intel can cough up, imo. There's a lot of stuff on Threadripper mobos that X299 doesn't have (ECC, for example).

Finally managed to grab a snap of my setup all up and running.  Specs are in my profile but i'll relist them here just in case.

20190703_231756.jpg.da613eb1cd33f23bf16c0acc4322d03a.jpg

BenQ XL2720T (yeah i know it's THAT old lol)

ThermalTake Core P3

SuperFlower Leadex II 750W Platinum

MSi Krait Gaming 3X Z170A

Intel 6600K overclocked to 4.6GHz

MSi GTX 1070 Armor OC

Intel 660p 128Gb M.2 Boot drive

Couple of other Hard Drives and SSDs for storage

Tempered Glass upgrade for the Core P3

XBOX One wireless adapter

XBOX One Elite controller

A cheap pair of M-Audio AW32 Monitors (bit bassy when i got them out of the box but nothing Equaliser APO couldn't fix)

(Not in picture) Tascam US100 to do the sound and Mic when i get round to it

Ducky One2 Mini RGB keyboard

Corsair Harpoon Mouse

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

Not bad but from what i gather this part of the forum is mainly for beauty shots of your setup.  Pop the same question over in the Overclocking threads a bit deeper in the forum ;)

Welp, I put my setup in the closet.  Now I just have to run ethernet and get a proper monitor stand.

May not be the best looking setup, but I'm still extremely happy to have it.

All specs are in my signature, and my GPU OC is 1878 boost and 8808 memory, with a slight fan speed bump.

And yes, one monitor is on a stool.

It's got ~10" in the front and ~6" in the back.  I do have to be careful to leave the door open while it's running tho, as there's no AC or any ventilation.

It's a hallway closet so the door will always be open.  I might get a fan tho.

Can you put a fan in the ceiling of the closet to draw the hot air out into like an attic or something?

I could theoretically.  The house is a rental though, so it's probably not the best idea.

It looks a lot better and performs a lot better too, though one thing kinda sucks. I wasn't planning on water-cooling my RAM.
