Inside the wall.

The american way... If I want to do that, I would need a rotary drill and a half day of work.

Doing that is easier in US houses because walls are hollow and made of drywall. Here in Brazil we have brick walls so it would be much more difficult.

If the brick is exposed, one way would be to chisel a channel through the mortar joints, run the cables through the joints, then mortar over them. If the bricks are plastered over, you can chisel a channel through the mortar and bricks, run the cables in the channel, then plaster over the cables and repaint. If drywall is hung over the bricks on furring strips, there should be a space between the drywall and the bricks you can snake a cable through.

So Ive built 2 systems within a few months, I guess I’ll put both the pcs in here since the actual “setup” didn’t change much. Only the pc’s!

PC #1:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with a 4.0ghz OC

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master ML240 (has stock AMD cooler in one of the pictures)

GPU: Gigabyte rx580 8gb

Mobo: Gigabyte B450m

RAM: 16gb GSkill ripjaws @3000mhz

SSD: Samsung 970 evo 500gb

PSU: Seasonic 620w evo 2

Case: Cooler Master Q300L

Fans: 2 cooler master sickleflow and 3 Corsair red LED.

Speakers: Logitech Z313 (I think I’ll double check)

PC #2:

CPU: AMD Threadripper 1900x @stock speed

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master ML360TR

GPU: XFX RX590 OC

Mobo: ASROCK Taichi X399

RAM: 32GB hyperX @3000mhz

SSD: Samsung 970 evo 250gb (will be buying more m.2 drives very soon)

HDD: (2) WD blue 1TB 7200rpm

PSU: EVGA 1200w P2

Case: Lian-Li PC-011 Air

Fans: 3 cooler master sickle flow, 3 Corsair LED, 2 Lian-Li stock fans. (This is something else I’ll be changing soon. Mismatched fans drive me nuts).

This is my pc I use for gaming/recording/editing, it’s on the budget side of TR4, but I could (and will) drop in a 1950x or something later down the line with a more powerful GPU and be set!

yeah that's one way to do it. One way people do that is by installing a pvc pipe inside the wall.

Hi All,

New to this forum, I decided to build my first gaming PC around 6 months ago, I dont really have any experience with this sort of thing and just bought my parts depending on what good deal I could get at the time so if I have an awful combination of parts I apologise 😅 I don't get much chance to play due to work and essentially just wanted to play planet coaster hence my pretty casual 'battle station'.

So here it goes:

Thetmaltake 240mm rgb aio for gpu
Thermaltake view 71
Cooler master rgb aio for cpu
Samsung 250gb nvme ssd
Corsair ram 8gb x 4 3000mhz
Amd ryzen 5 2600
Gigabyte x470 ultra gaming motherboard
Samsung 860evo 500gb ssd
Asus rog geforce strix gtx 1060 6gb
Corsair vs650 power supply

It runs the games I have so far on 1080 with no problem so I'm pretty happy but hope to maybe learn a bit more to eventually start upgrading!

probably 2x8GB sticks with 2x4Gb sticks is my guess, i don't think 6GB modules exist.

That sounds like a pretty good first gaming PC if you ask me.  You chose many parts that deliver pretty good performance for the money.  And you have some room to grow!

Wow those are some truly awesome looking builds!!🤤 hopefully I will get mine posted in here soon. Trying to make a decision on monitors. 1080p or 1440p I left out 4k because they are pretty hard on your PC and price is also way higher then the others. Now looking at a good1080p's price they aren't that far off a good 1440p. Little extra money for double pixel count what do yall think? I should have the specs to run a 1440

I'm building a

9900k

Gigabyte master

Asus geforce rtx 2080

32 ddr4 3000

1tb ssd

You’ve got plenty enough hardware for 1440p gaming. I’d say go ahead and go with that so you dont have to get tired of 1080p in a few months and have to buy another monitor.

i finally got me a proper 19"rack today! complete with watercooled (almost finished) F@H server and big ass networking switch! :D

i only got my girfriend so far that i could get it if she could have her pets on there. so yeah, i guess there's a permanent pet cage on there aswell.

definitely worth the compromise though!

Uhm, what? First post has pictures. And if it didn't, consider that thread is 6 years old at this point. Few of my posts have broken images at this point as I've changed pics hosting service twice since.
