After seeing some of the Modded "prebuilt" systems, couldn't help but try it out with an old emachines I had lying around.

I like the way it's turning out.

That looks sexy. I like how the colors match.

So I've decided that the best screen to use with my PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 is my iMac's 5k Display and to do this I bought a Elgato HD60 S :) The Dell display is just for extra stuff and yes I can use it whist gaming!

So my setup looks like this I also have a projector I'll hopefully be upgrading soon and I've got to re-paint the wall I project onto or get a proper screen.

The funniest thing about that case is the floppy drive.  I would be curious if those front USB ports are 1.0 or 2.0 or if it depends on the motherboard.

kinda over clocked, gtx 1050 ti. Phanteks on a vertical mount.

slightly older pic. The Hdd is NOW in a Modded Drive cage with a Al-u-min-ium heat sink from the cpu that the noctua replaced

soon to be oil cooling the 1050 as a yoke.

Does the CPU get any cooling with that spacing between the fan and the fin stacks? Air lives by the law of least resistance and don't go thru the cooler as shown above, not i enough quantities to resemble good cooling. On the Push-side it probably will be okay, but not on the pull-side.

You're not wrong. Maybe he could make a duct...with duct tape. What do you think it was named after?

Yep, telling me to cut a few holes in my case to have a graphics card as well as a PSU hanging out of it (ruining the entire point of getting a 7010 in this form factor), and telling my mom to buy another 1050Ti to "fix" a thermals problem that doesn't exist is a great suggestion.

Well the 1050 Ti is a smol carb that doesn't produce much heat, so even a LP Dell handles it fine. Sure, a GPU on the outside is sexy but not needed.

So called "duct" tape is actually a corruption of the brand name "Duck Tape". It was never designed for ductwork. It was originally designed for sealing ammo cases during WWII. Back in the sixties, we called it supertape.

Useless trivia moment over. You are now being returned to your regularly scheduled thread.

After discovering gaffer's tape, I would tell you what I now call "duct" or "super" tape but Mama told me not to use those words.

Actually yeah !.  under the biggest load I can get on the beastly 3/4 cores, Ive dropped 20-30 c*. The thermal compound that was on it previously was a dusty mess due to the coverage of the original cooler some older stock coolers dont even cover the whole cpu -.- . Everything about this is pretty pointless, except for what Ive learned in doing it. I threw the gpu on the out side to hide the OG psu xD.

so tasty
Running " FOR HONNOR", some online stress test, a few other things I figured might add to the stress. nothing over 33 degrees Celsius. after a while, I started to wave my mouse around violently in an attempt to cause more stress with no thermal result. hope my post is okay to go back in here. Thoughts ?

I5-2400S

4GB DDR 3

240Gb SSD

Radeon R9 280x 3Gb

Mobo,CPU and RAM from a hand-me-down Compaq Pressario.

Case from my previous hand-me-down Q9450  after my one good PSU gave up PSing.

GPU bought from a friend after I discovered my GTX 750ti wasn’t compatible with the Pressario’s legacy BIOS.

Looks alright with a couple of RGB fans

Having lost my 750 watt PSU, I didnt have a single PSU with either enough power or more than a single 6 pin PCI-e plug to run everything. (The Radeon needs a 6-pin and 8-pin)

So it’s now running one 220w and another 280w with one triggering the power on of the other and a home made “6+2 plug” hacked together from various other PSUs.
