My setup

I started the build on the 18th of August 012 and have been upgrading things since then

It's finally complete today as the UV cathodes arrived

The reason for me having to upgrade things one by one (e.g. the case and cooling) is that i originally had it built for me by Novatech (my local store)

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H

CPU: i7 2700k @ stock speed

Case: Silverstone Raven series RV03

PSU: Standard Novatech 550watt

Cooler: Corsair H80

Memory: Novatech 8GB Dual channel 1333Mhz

Boot Drive: Samsung 830 128GB SSD

Storage: WDC Green 1TB

Optical Drive: TSSTcorp sonthing or other

Graphics Card: Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 560ti

Monitor: Iiyama Prolite 60Hz PL2475HDS

Keyboard: Standard Novatech keyboard

Mouse: Razer Abyssus

Addon 802.11n WLAN card

USB 2.0 controller card

Sharkoon dual purple UV CCFL

All i can think of getting now is a nice keyboard

This is my first build any thoughts? (btw meh 14)

Their is two sticks of RAM, but I had to return one as it was DOA

Please tell me how you switched the position of your window and how hard/easy it was ?

The only thing putting me off the corsair c70 are those ugly fan grills in the window covering the cpu, if I can switch the angle of the window so the fan grills are on the bottom or the right, then I'll be more than happy to buy one .

Okay, so I guess this is an update on my original post in this thread (Page 2)

The stock Phanteks fans were not PWM and the sound was annoying me, so I swapped them out for some Akasa Apache Black. Near silent and great static pressure.

I also reorganized my desk and dusted everything.

Okay finally had the time to post my current Rig-setup.

Please don't flame me for how messy the cables are as I've rearranged the set-up many times due to monitor arrangements (23x 3 with 27x2) or ask me why I have so many rigs. I personally don't like showing it to my friends as it tends to freak them out. But since I like to support Linus's forums and it's the interwebs so I'm not really too paranoid to show you guys.

just to show how old that laptop is: "You last defragmented this drive 4556 day(s) ago."

and the date settings are all oke :)

and amazingly it does not feel slow, it runs ME, but still its not annoying me like normal older systems.

pentium III CPU, 128MB RAM, 20GB HDD, so a extremely expensive laptop when it was made
