Post Your Battle Stations and Build Setups!

Hey guys,

I thought I'd show you my LAN room. It's my spare bedroom measuring 11x14. I currently have 4 desktop PC's but I'm working on another build which is in progress. I had an electrician friend add two extra curcuits so I could run my A/C unit the same time as all these machines. I'm sure I don't need to tell you it can get pretty toasty in here. I also have a dedicated HTPC but I will post that later on.

This is my first build so don't be too hard on me.

The specs are:

Phenom 2 x4 975 3.8 ghz

8gb amd performance ram (got what was cheapest)

asrock extrem3 am3+ mobo

western digital 500gb blue caviar hdd

raidmax 630 watt psu

Rosewill redbone case (it kinda sucks, again i had a budget)

His iceq HD 6870 graphics card

Corsair H60 with the stock fan it came with

I'm pretty happy with my build, it adds up to around 700 bucks and it plays games fairly well and stays really cool. What do you guys think?

I didn't say all CM PSU's were junk, just the models I happen to have. Now, I haven't had any issue either but apparently their output is overrated by about 150-200W. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Cooler-Master-eXtreme-Power-Plus-600-W-Power-Supply-Review/1034/9

Is that true? Do you say that because the BIOS doesn't have overclocking features? I don't mess with my BIOS often, but I'm fairly certain there are grayed out options for overclocking. :O

This is my first build so don't be too hard on me.

The specs are:

Phenom 2 x4 975 3.8 ghz

8gb amd performance ram (got what was cheapest)

asrock extrem3 am3+ mobo

western digital 500gb blue caviar hdd

raidmax 630 watt psu

Rosewill redbone case (it kinda sucks, again i had a budget)

His iceq HD 6870 graphics card

Corsair H60 with the stock fan it came with

I'm pretty happy with my build, it adds up to around 700 bucks and it plays games fairly well and stays really cool. What do you guys think?

wow that's a mess :p , try to shorten the 8 pin connector by doing it from the left of your case, that will make it more neat
