How do I do a check on all the components in my system?

DanG0887

I am hearing some strange noises from my psu so I just want to run a system check to make sure it isn’t degrading any of the parts, but I’m not sure how to do that so if you know how please let me know!

connect a multimeter to the outputs and see what its producing and a watt meter to see if it's pulling a reasonable amount of wattage

Is there like a program that will just check all of it for me?

......

these are physical devices used to determine what the power supply is doing , if you don;t want to bother checking the power supply for problems a computer shop can do it for you.

your options are  , ignore the power supply noise , takes it to a computer shop , test the power supply yourself , or throw the power supply away and replace it without checking it

You can pick up a 24 pin power supply tester for pretty cheap that will do 95% of the work for you.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just run Aida and do a stability test and let her go for like 1 hour.  If it doesn't stop or crash then your good.  Your PSU noise is probably the fan gone south.

It doesn't matter my friend.  You can buy something brand new sealed and its defective or came from a bad batch.  PSU does not make a noise their static components,  It's the fan and Ill bet on that.
