Ryzen R2600 vs Ryzen R3XXX 6 Cores 12 threads

Depends if the rumours are true.  Per core clocks are where ryzen falls behind vs Intel and supposedly they've managed to gain some ground in this area. 

 

If the 3300x really is 6c/12t at 4.3ghz i don't see a point upgrading personally.  If the 3600x ends up at 8c/16th 4.8ghz then that seems like a worthwhile upgrade in my eyes.

Give me a second, I have to warm up my DeLorean so I can hit 88mph and see what Zen 2's performance will be like.

14nm to 7nm is huge leap.

Yes, it would be a good upgrade, IPC wise (and power consumption).

I'm skipping on 2nd gen (from my 1600) but for the 3rd gen i'll take the 6 or 8 cores.

Clock for clock Ryzen is leading intel, the demo said that they were use lower clock speed to match intel 9900k.

So using the same clock speed it would blow the competition.
