Nah, I think it's just the cold. For reference, I don't mean what most people would probably think of as "cold." I was walking home in -20, and the iPod was just in my hand. When I had my old spinning iPod, the thing wouldn't work at all in -10. It'd simply shut itself off.

Damn, I guess it's never been that cold for me here in the pacific northwest usa, so I haven't had that issue. That makes me curious to try, though.

My Gameboy worked in those conditions, but my two-way radio didn't. Well, it tried, but kept powering off (presumably the lithium ion batteries, I know they hate cold).

Haha yeah, I used to live in Vancouver (BC) and it was much, much more temperate.

Yeah it can be really weird. I can't wait for warmer weather again. Or at least for the colder part of winter to be over. I'm fine with -10, but we're nearing the season where it'll hit -40 or lower.
