I can’t use my 2TB hdd because it won’t format correctly and be initialized to be ready for use .

I bought new 3.5” HDD and when trying to initialize it to be able to use it it won’t let me , i always get an error message saying it did not format correctly . What can possibly be causing this ? Any help would be much appreciated, I got this new HDD to be able to save more games on since my ssd is not enough .

I’m using the new simple volume option and formatting it as NTFS but it takes like 2 minutes just to show me the error
