What air cooler and case do you currently have? A 7700k at stock reaching that temp sounds fishy.

Also, have you tried reapplying thermal paste?

According to OP's bio, it's a "titan dragonfly," which is a really crap foreign cooler that's very slim. From the looks of it, basically a sideways Intel stock cooler.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

You don't have to get a new case for the rad support (unless you really want). A good air cooler (Dark Rock Pro 4, NH-D15, R1 Ultimate) would perform about the same as the AIO for less.

ill get a new case as i want a nicer looking case, i didnt really want another air cooler as the water cooler would look better, i am just hoping that it will bring my temps down and looks good

Fair enough. Between those two choices the H100i would be my pick. It should be able to cool your 7700k OC'ed let alone at stock speeds.

There's more than one Dragonfly model and they should all be significantly better than a mainstream Intel stock cooler.

Which Dragonfly do you have? The Dragonfly 4 performs similarly to the 212 Evo which should be plenty for a stock 7700k. What motherboard are you using? Are you using default motherboard settings?

If there are more, that's one thing, but the very first one I found was really expensive for a super tiny heat sink

Slim and not so dense with fins, wouldn't expect much from it.

That's the Dragonfly 4 which has a MSRP of $34. https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Titan/Dragonfly_4/

It's an older cooler so don't expect them to be regularly in stock or at competitive prices.

Much of cooler performance is determined by the mounting hardware so I recommend not looking at just the heatpipe or fin count.
