Oh man, I am really sorry to hear that. He looks to be a lovely chap. I truly believe that we will get to see our loved ones in the next life, whatever form that takes... I didn't say goodbye to my Henry when we had to have him put to sleep, I just said I'll see you again and to go and find Whiskey (my brothers dog that died the year before), and some happiness.

It's heartbreaking to let them go, but I also believe it's better than them being in pain and not enjoying this life.

OH NO! I'm so sorry! Losing a pet is like losing a child. Having lost several in my life, I know your pain. It's going to rough for poor Olivia, too.

Thanks. I know it's gonna be rough, but we'll get through it...

 

I was hesitant to upgrade my phone recently and now, absolutely no regrets. The camera is so much better and now we'll have lots of really nice pics of him to look back on.

I know it hurts like hell (heck, I'm tearing up and I don't know you or Moses) but try to take some comfort in the fact Moses is no longer in pain and you were able to give him the best year or so of his short life.

Thanks. It's honestly a relief that he's no longer in pain. He's had an awesome 2 years, even though it got off to a rough start when he was little. He had so many visitors in his last days and loved every minute of it.

 

His sister, Olivia, has been a trooper through all of this. She's known something's up for a while, we suspect. She handled everything really well and was right by his side with us as the vet let him go in the sunny grass in the front yard - one of his favorite places.

Moses, I never knew you, but you were a great dog from what I heard. Your life was relatively short, but I'm positive the love you experienced was immense, RIP, good boy!

You just gave your age away. It was a WB cartoon quote (sorta) by an abominable snowman like monster (a similar on was made be Elmyra in Tiny Toons).
