A quiet (Fanless?) Laptop.questions!

Hello! Thanks for clicking on this thread! First time posting here on the forums.

I am looking for a laptop for Writing. So the usual gaming, fan-cooled laptops are off for me as I don't like to hear the computer reeve up at random. I do not plan to do anything other than writing, browse internet, watch youtube, and listen to online radios. Again, if possible, simply making the entire thing fanless, or very very quiet, would be great. I am not specifically looking for either laptop or a notebook, or what-else have you that are available. There's no budget limits, and I live on Iceland. There are several computer stores here, so there's a chance I can get some laptops imported through them.

Thank you for reading, I do hope you all have good recommendations to me!

I mean, from what you're describing, a tablet with a Bluetooth keyboard seems like a better idea.

Yes, something like that! If at all possible, I'd rather get something running Windows 10.

Lots of tablets run Windows 10. You could do something like a cheap Chinese netbook from Amazon, but if you're going to be writing, you're going to want a decent keyboard.

...what about something like a ThinkPad T470s?

I don't specifically have a desire to import a laptop to Iceland due to a really, really hefty import tax they have in place here on Iceland, and I couldn't find any net-stores selling that ThinkPad version, unfortunately, thanks for the suggestions though!

First and foremost if you are writing the keyboard is most important. Any suggestion here could be trumped by whether or not you can type on the keyboard.

Macbook air is a good suggestion from above. It isnt fan less but is quiet. It can run windows 10 via bootcamp.

Ipad pro would be a good fit. It cant run windows 10, but can run office. That being said the current model has qc issues and is quite over priced for what is offered.

Really tell us what is available to you at the stores. Most low powered laptops are quiet.
