Buying a laptop for AI programming and probably training

mafioso

I'm going overseas next month and I cannot carry my PC with me (that's too much of hassle). So I'm planning on buying a laptop that is pretty good, at least enough for me to do multitasking and coding (very important). If it could train at occasional time (or bed time), that would be awesome. I guess I would be able to access the lab's server so rendering at work is a no brainer.

My question is would it be better of buying a 2nd hand XPS, or 2nd hand Macbook, Thinkpad, or any kind of gaming laptop? My budget would be around 800-1000USD (that would be plus tax if it comes to my country as brand new - I'm currently in Vietnam).

Thank you for coming by.

I'm buying it from Vietnam, bro.

Preferably lightweight and with good trackpad/kbd and good screen, good battery is optional

Yo sure there are bros here in Hanoi I'm looking for a deal at hanoicomputer.com.vn but in fact they have quite narrow choices, some decent Dell, HP and Lenovo Thinkpad but I'm still not with them that much. At the moment I'm putting an eye on this boy:

All with non-upgradable RAM and good display. Keyboard not that great though
