Custom PC won’t start

So before I put my motherboard with all the components in the case, I connected it to my monitor and worked perfectly. So after probably another hour of putting it into the case, I had finally connected all the other case wires, motherboard wires, graphics card, ssd and hdd and turned it on.

I press the power button and all the components and fans light up but when I release the button it all turns off. If I hold the button it eventually just turns it’s self off anyway.

After searching for for some YouTube videos I realise my WiFi router hasn’t got power... or anything else on the first floor. It has blew all the sockets even after resetting the circuit box.

Any ideas? I’ll try get my power back on first though!

Could have a short between the bottom of the motherboard and the case.

Sounds like something is shorted somewhere.

Take it all out and reassemble everything outside the case again.  I'll bet it will work again.

Probably won't help much, but a spec list via pcpartpicker doesn't hurt.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k (won) - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Kill Trident Z RGB - Force MP500 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - The venerated Hyper 212 Evo (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G2 650W - Black and green theme, Razer branwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Linux Proliant ML150 G6:

Xeon X5560 - 24GB ECC DDR3 - MSI GTX 650 - some 7200RPM SATA II thing - Ubuntu (at the moment)

Feel free to critique my website. I am but a young entrepreneur.

It would be a good idea to add it to your profile actually, that way people can just click your account and see it right away

That's not a good sign..take out everything and check each component..make sure nothing is fried and then put it all together outside the case then turn it on.

Did you smell anything burning

No, haven’t noticed any spells or burning on the board which I assume is very lucky.
