2080 vs 2080 TI

Hello all,

 

I have a question regarding the importance of flagship GPUs in comparison to type. Is it better to get a flagship 2080, such as Strix OC, FTW3, and Trio, or would you prefer an entry level 2080 TI, such as from Zotac or maybe an EVGA SC?

2080ti, factory overlock cannot make up for massive hardware difference. 

 

$999 entry level 2080Ti > $850 Super Ultra For the Win Kingpin16 Black XXL Edition

Cheapest 2080 Ti on air will significantly outperform even the best 2080 on water with a godlike silicon lottery.

That's what I was thinking, thanks. Really didn't want to shell out more than $1000 for a GPU like a flagship TI for $1500.

My rule is ALWAYS go for the Chip first, that's always going to be where the performance is at.

 

I'd buy the cheapest 2080 Ti before ever considering the most expensive 2080.

well, if you don't need a backplate, the evga black is really nice
