I still wonder if my gpu is underperforming

I recently upgraded to zotac 1080 ti amp extreame. I played some games such as assassins creed unity and assassins creed syndicate on high quality and only on 1080p and not overclock anything. But the fps always drop below 60. Even gta with almost everything maxed out sometimes drop below 60. Does my pc work as it supposed to when play on 1080p?

intel 17- 7700k

zotac 1080 ti amp extreme

asrock h110m-hds

avexir ddr4 8gb ram 2400mhz x 1

corsair cx 650m psu

sandisk ssd 128gb

kingston ssd 240gb

Assassin's Creed games are known for running poorly on PC, the ports are lazy patchwork jobs. Your CPU may not be enough honestly, even though it's a good CPU. 6 cores seem to fare better in assassin's Creed games.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Single channel ram and slow SSDs. SSD shouldn't slow down. Get 16gb dual channel ram.

so even on idle it seems you are using half your ram. also... why the 7700k is on an h110 board, im not gonna ask. its not the best choice. the gtx 1080ti is performing as it should. the 240gb ssd appears to be being disrupted by perhaps a 2.0 Sata cable or port?the CPU can be doing better... but that might just have to do with the board you have. 

 

but the ram appears to be the biggest issue @irfankamil

the reason im using h110m is because I started from a budget build. so I have to replace the ram?

you could just add more ram. id just get a matching stick.

to have dual channel ram, I just have to add another ram with same model right? in this case I have to buy one more avexir 8gb ram?
