Fair point. I have made it more obvious.

The forum has an announcement currently warning users of a scam targeting LTT viewers. On PC in browsers it appears prominently on the top right of the page, however when viewing the site on mobile the announcement is at the bottom of the forums and users have to scroll right to the bottom of the page below member stats to see the announcement.

There continue to be multiple posts made by users reporting the scam or asking if the competition is legitimate, and I believe those people are failing to see the announcement due to its poor placement.

I think the announcement section should be moved to a more prominent spot when viewed on phones so that people who visit the site from their phone will be aware of the announcement.

It makes sense, but because of the way blocks work it's not possible to make it more prominent for mobile users without making it fairly obtrusive for desktop users I'm afraid.

That's "fairly obtrusive"? Lol I honestly like it at the top like that, it's more banner like and is more noticeable imo. (don't know how it looks on mobile tho, I don't use that). Cheers!

The change to the banner announcement (like the one that was up for floatplane switch) works. As long as it gets the message out and makes people aware.

Maybe @LinusTech can warn users about it on the WAN show.
