Remove the ability to select your own post as "best answer"

Seen it happen some times that someone will reply to a question with the answer (and usually make an effort out of it).

The the OP will quote the answer and then marks his own post with the quote in it as "best answer" :D 

 

Just looks weird, like the OP did all the work and the one he is quoting was helped :S 

 

A minor annoyance, but happy to complain about it :P

OP selecting their own post has actual uses when they do solve it themselves, most even giving out solution in their post. Its also imo suitable when multiple people provide correct answer and OP quotes them all. Since there isn't any stat about Best Answers, there's no actual point of removing that ability from OP.

I thought it was weird at first. Until someone help me with a problem but the verbiage was wrong.

 

I still didn't set myself as "best answer"

 

Sometime having a clean statement that answers a question is the best answer for the masses

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

I never said that. Just looked at the CES thread and tbh that should be a different option. To sticky a post to the top.

Anyway, this was just a suggestion and as i already said a minor one :D

sometimes you just need a pat on the back and if no one is gonna do it for you you will have to do it yourself. That's an important life lesson right there ?
