The Division 2 is exclusive to the Epic Store (and UPlay) on PC

Eh, the problem is that if it proves successful, this might not be good to the consumer as it pertains to choice. Sure, unlike a console, you can just create a free account and download a free launcher, but then you are bound by that store's ToS and policies, which can be very different to others.

More of a concern is what happens to purchases when storefronts fail and close up shop.  They're likely to take your access to the tittle with them to oblivion.

Lots of problems with accepting first downloadable titles, instead of physical; and now the push for consumers to accept the lingo that purchase of games being a lease to access it instead of any sort of ownership.

It becomes easier for consumers if the laws are on their side, like the EU and Australia. @mr moose might chime in.

Ya, but there's a road to travel before then and now and the instances in between are a mine field.  We've already got a litany of titles whom are either gone or, most commonly, half broken from servers being shutdown.

Its not a new thing for us here to be concerned about, but yet another angle to keep an eye on for the fast and loose slippery fuckers to cheese on.

Australia's consumer rights laws really work in the customers favour. From my understanding, any product you buy from a licensed official retailer needs to provides options for a refund, so back when Steam didn't really have a refund policy they were breaking Australia Consumer law by selling to Australians. It was one of many reasons they implemented the policy. I'm not really sure about content being taken off online stores, there will be some laws regarding that but in the end, it's probably something that's going to need to be iterated on as it becomes more of a prevalent issue in years to come.
