It's because they are owned by Tencent Games, one of the biggest games company in the world and operated out of China.

I don't mind they migrate the game sales from Steam to Epic. They both have awesome connection speed. But I have to pay for it with USD.

game like Division 2 will be half broken in it first 6 months, another 3-6 months for fixing and actually enjoyable 1 year later anyway.

a) Refund Policy. Steam is very consumer friendly.

b) Consumer Reviews on the Plattform as well. -> Review bomb if you do haneous Micro Transactions or patch something the community does not like.

Not really interested in this game, but I'm getting it free with my recent RX 590 purchase, so I suppose it doesn't cost me anything to check it out.  If not for that, I probably wouldn't buy it, even if I was interested.  Not a big fan of UPlay, and I'm not impressed with Epic's stance on "exclusives".

Pretty much this. The 2 things that now can bring down the biggest moneygrab... game developer to it's knees and happ... sadly they can't buy themselves out of it like they have done last 10 years with game reviewing media. It really doesn't require huge IQ to deduct why Steam in the first place grew, digital markets, and why? Killing the second hand sales and quite many other things that are as far from pro-consumer as thievery and hoaxing can be. I'm actually very suprised that console markets still have second hand markets because they basicly are the AAA developers playground and those same developers were the firsts to jump into digital market train and it wasn't for the convenience of the consumers.

I honestly couldn't say, since I'm about 5-6 feet away from my computer.  I will say that until my fans start ramping up on my AIO, I don't notice any fan noise from my computer.

Competition is fine, but being exclusive only to the Epic store and uplay isn't,IMO.

Eh, the problem is that if it proves successful, this might not be good to the consumer as it pertains to choice. Sure, unlike a console, you can just create a free account and download a free launcher, but then you are bound by that store's ToS and policies, which can be very different to others.
