i7700k temps

hi guy my cpu is hitting 100 degrees and sits at around 94 (using  msi afterburner) my cpu cooler is a titan dragonfly, i was told it was a good cooler bit 100 seems very hot from what i read online, is it the the cooler is crap or is my case crap (inwin 710) or the thermal paste is crap, or has my cpu got a problem? This is while i play BF5 at 1440p with a rtx 2080

I have a similar setup, I7 7700T and RTX 2070 (through EGPU) and play at 4K.

 

My cpu temps never go above 70. I would check your cooler is properly seated, apply new thermal paste and check again.

If you want bare bones, yeah. However, maybe something nice like the dark rock 4 or shadow rock slim would be ideal, a nice price for effective cooling.

I just looked it up, it's tiny. You should get a decent cooler instead, like a $40 something or other from noctua or be quiet. Even a Cryorig H7 or Arctic Exports 33 would do.

Oof, that's no bueno. I would not use your pc until you switch the cooler. Those temps will negatively affect your cpu

Heck, the $16 cooler I got keeps my 9600k at around 50ish degrees while playing BFV at 4.4Ghz

The irony of the hyper 212 is that it became so popular for being cheap so the price increased and now it's just kinda crappy for its price since you can't easily find it for under $25

This "titan dragonfly" has a really high price tag which must be a deceptive expensiveness that tricks people into thinking it's good.
