So apparently, in an interview with PCWorld, Lisa Su hinted at the possibility that Ryzen 3xxx may have more cores.

Of course, this isn't concrete confirmation, but it does add fuel to the speculation.

Beat me to posting the PCWorld article, but have this Anandtech one about NO chiplet APU, at least not for this generation.

They have the same problem as always in that too much talk about the new product may induce people to wait for that than buy the current one. Not a problem if the switch is managed well, but a few months gap is excessive. So if not imminent availability, say less than a month to volume shipment, then I don't think can go full detail. Or looking the other way, the more they tell, the sooner we'll probably get it.

AMD actually put their Q1 guidance as a somewhat depressed GPU market. lol

AMD is probably going to stagger the Ryzen 3rd gen release like the previous Ryzen line. It's just a question of which order they go with.

Oh, and since we're throwing out speculation: Ryzen 3rd Gen will have 3 dies. 2 Chiplets + TSMC 16nm I/O die that's quite small. That's made the most logical sense for a while.
