It's illegal if you buy a key intended to abuse the system, and yes the EULA is a contract that can be enforced.  So, if the key you bought was meant for a prebuilt laptop/desktop, you use the voice activation to force the key to work/abuse the system, attempt to transfer the key, and so on then yes you are breaching the contract and can be sued.  However and this is where I was wrong, an OEM key itself is not illegal if you purchased/obtained it without abusing the system and activate it without abusing the system.  Also, just because Newegg and Amazon are selling it he said that doesn't mean there isn't an abuse of the system.  His final remark is another thing I've been saying too.  Worst case scenario for the buyer is that the key stops working.

Kinda hard to read everything when you keep spamming before I can even finish a response, and you seem to ignore things I have said while making this very personal.  Maybe you should get over yourself?  That's not really a good way to debate something it just makes you seem childish.  In the end, we were both right and wrong.

None of the extremes above.  When someone is wrong, they are wrong.  You can lead a horse to water (in this case repeatedly) then you have to beat that horse with a shovel to get it to drink.

 

The Real Answer was stated many many times, and you are correct - Extremely SAFE to buy, Extremely SAFE to use, Extremely RELIABLE. 

 

Without this Conversation taking place, OP, you would have never had your question answered correctly.

 

You would have had people telling you how they morally feel about this transaction, and left believing something wrong.

 

Personally, this conversation needed to take place, glad it did.

 

EDIT - Keys are much cheaper on EBAY, just check the sellers rating and comments and you will know if they are a legit seller or not.
